This baby is unreal sharp!!! Opened the box and it immediately will shave hair on my arm! Couldn’t be happier! This thing is unreal sharp and American quality at its finest right down to the sheath!! Absolutely the best I’ve ever seen.

Upon first glance, I could notice a tiny bend on the toe of the blade, which doesn't affect the function. On first few uses, green branches fell in single swing, dead branches bounced more of course, when they did not break. The weight and balance is excellent. Sharpening the blade was easy to get down, but took a bit of time to make sure it was perfect, hold its edge very well for the time.Handcrafted in USA

My first good chance to use it came when a large part broke out of the top of an old tree during a storm. I have saws and axes etc but after I got going this machete is all I wanted. The weight and grip are great for my overworked old hands. I enjoyed it so much I didn’t stop until what was left was clearly chainsaw work. After a few good hours or hacking there was minor glinting on the blades edge. A few passes per side with the hone and strop on my field sharpener and it glides through paper again. Amazing.
*I did sharpen it at a fixed angle when I first got it, as close to factory angle as possible.

This is my favorite hand axe, and the 2nd one of these I've bought in 25 years! If you have lots of Grape Vine and Rip shins, this is light enough to carry all day while still being very effective for the task. The state Naturalist said, "If you care about your trees, cut the vines every time you're out there!"
I initially bought one for myson-in-law and when I saw it, I had to get me one. The scabard and the handle show craftmanship. I cant wait to get out to use it when the weather allows
Best machete I’ve used. It’s super sharp and durable. It feels great in your hand. It’s also American made hints why it’s pricier than the rest, but again you get what you pay for. I would recommend this product.
This tool/weapon (it comes with instructions on how to fight with said weapon, I bought for brush clearing) is a bloody (cause I can’t say the American word I want to use) beast. It’ll chop down small trees no problem. Sharp to begin with, what you’d expect from a traditional American made tool, not some Chinese made but “American” company. I live in southeast Texas, and damn but trees grow like weeds here, and this tool makes quick work of not only brush, but even small trees. I’m a Helko Werk axe guy, who bought this to clear the brush to cut down trees, but found it works as well as my favorite 12” Nepalese Kukri, if not better. It doesn’t look like much when you get it, but it’s a worker for sure. Screw machetes, this thing does the job and more. I’m a country boy, I use tools all the time, and I’ve rarely been so impressed with a tool.

Very sharp out of the box and cuts through firewood like butter to make kindling. So sharp that I almost cut my finger off and had to get stitches..
American made with quality clearing tool with heavy weight leather sheath. Somewhatexpensive but worth the extra expense (vs cheap takeoffs). I buy tools for life and will give it to my son at some point. I like the design for chopping and the hook for pulling/cutting.

Was not sure what to expect but the quality is great and is very sharp. It is weighted good and the design of the leather handle version is good. It is all I carry in the woods.

Second purchase. If you learn how to use it and keep it sharp it will do most clearing and maintenance chores easily. Bought this one to keep family member from borrowing mine.
Blade isn’t full tang, blade is pretty thin, it’s more of a machete than a multi function tool.I find the Esee Junglas to be a more effective “big” knife
Really workable, and conveniently carried in the heavy duty sheath.
This is the one thing to have where ever you go outside. The sheath is thick and will last. The blade makes tis solid a great improvement over most store bought Machettes.
Well not the original. Which it was thicker blade handle has a lacquer paint finish that makes it slippery
